August 2021 Release Notes: New features and Improvements

New features & Improvements

Channel Manager: SiteConnect Channel Auto-activation

  • Our latest update allows properties to connect to SiteConnect channels entirely from the platform, without any input from Support. This is a more streamlined experience for customers, allowing them to connect to these channels and start mapping to them immediately.

  • This will reduce our costs substantially by removing approximately 1,000 Channel Add support cases per month. It also greatly improves scalability.

Channel Manager: Expedia Support the Max Length of Stay (maxLOS) Restrictions

  • Historically, hotels had to log in to the Expedia extranet in order to update their Maximum Length of Stay (MaxLOS) settings.

  • With this release, Expedia MaxLOS settings can be managed through the Max Stay settings in The Channel Manager. The Channel Manager sends this Max Stay data to Expedia, along with the ARI updates for the connected Room Rates. This saves hoteliers’ time as they no longer need to update the channels individually. It also increases the stickiness of over 20,000 hotels that have an Expedia connection.

Channel Manager: Jumbo Tours - Use set methods for Jumbo API

  • This enhancement will use separate API calls to update contracts and to update restrictions. By separating these requests, we can correctly set restrictions on the Jumbo Tours system.

Channel Manager: Hotusa - Map Negotiated Rates

  • Hotusa negotiated rates were previously not mappable in CM. This caused reservation delivery issues.

  • By implementing a new API call, negotiated rates now appear in the mapping dropdown for Hotusa.

Insights: Competitor Rates Calendar

  • This feature provides a calendar view of user’s rates versus those of their competitors. It accompanies the existing graph view rather than replacing it.

  • This feature views a better snapshot comparison of the competitors’ rates by analysing a larger dataset with a monthly calendar view. The interface is designed with several UI enhancements that make it easier to use than the graph view.

Direct Booking: Digital Partners Program

  • As part of our digital partner integration program. For Booking Engine, we have released an integration with Sojern, a specialist provider of digital marketing services to the travel industry

SMPAY: Disputes (operational enhancement)

  • With this enhancement, when disputes are received from guests, any Pay accounts that use NZD & EUR currency will now have funds automatically withdrawn from the property’s account.
