Change your website theme

You can control how your website looks by selecting a different design theme.

There are four themes available in the Website Builder for you to chose from: Ally, Celeste, Homer and Paul Rudd. You can change the website theme at any time.

Please note: Only theme Ally is designed for Web Accessibility and ADA compliant.

To change the website theme:

  1. In your Website Builder, go to the tab Manage themes

  2. In the bar on the left, select Themes

  3. Select your preferred theme
    Note : Hovering over the selected theme's example picture will display a Preview button. Click this to see how it would look on your website before saving it

  4. Click Save

  5. Click Publish Changes if you want to push the updates to your live website

Change your colour palette

In addition to the website theme, you can also select the colour palette for your website. There's a variety of colour palettes for you to chose from. You can change your colour palette at any time.

Note : If you selected theme Ally, you can define a custom colour for your website. This is not available for the other three themes.

When you are selecting the primary brand colour in the custom colour option, we will suggest a secondary colour choice to optimise the accessibility of your website. You can also choose one of the other two options, but they might not have a high enough contrast with your selected primary colour to be accessible.

To change your colour palette:

  1. In your Website Builder, go to the tab Manage themes

  2. In the bar on the left, select Themes

  3. Scroll down to the section Colour palette

  4. Select your preferred colour palette

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Publish Changes if you want to push the updates to your live website

Please note : If you wish to use a custom colour palette to adhere to your hotel branding, we suggest that you involve a website designer to update the CSS code of your website.

Change your button style

You can also chose the style of your website's buttons. There are three different styles to chose from: Round edge, Square edge, and Full round. You can change the button style at any time.

To change your button style:

  1. In your Website Builder, go to the tab Manage themes

  2. In the bar on the left, select Themes

  3. Scroll down to the section Button style

  4. Select your preferred button style

  5. Click Save

  6. Click Publish Changes if you want to push the updates to your live website

Web Accessibility with theme Ally

Web Accessibility means that websites are developed and designed with all users in mind , including those with disabilities to ensure that everyone has equal access to information and functionality.

It is increasingly recognised as a key aspect of high quality websites. Therefore, the website builder's theme Ally has been developed to address Web Accessibility.
The Ally theme follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG) making it compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Theme Ally features:

  • Enhanced Colour Palette - The colour palette contrast is enhanced so that people with visual impairments can read the contents of the page

  • Keyboard Navigation - All contents and functions in the theme can be navigated by a keyboard

  • Screen Reading Support - It supports computer screen reader tools to read out lout the contents of the page

To ensure that you make full use of theme Ally 's accessibility features, add alt tags to your images. This enables screen readers to read and describe images on the page.
