Edit general property details
You can add and manage your property's general details, images and features to be displayed on the customer facing booking engine from the extranet.
The General tab allows you to enter general information like address and contact preferences for your property.
To edit general property details:
Click the setup tab
Click the Property tile
Under the General tab, you can modify the following:
General: general property details including name, property home page, currency, time zone, and star rating
Address: address of your property, Google Map URL, contact phone numbers. Your property contact and location details are displayed to the right of the booking engine. For more information about the Google Map URL see section:
Email Contacts: email contacts for booking confirmation email, booking confirmation CC email, enquiry email, and inventory alert emails.
Rate Settings: minimum room rate and set up the use of decimals
Occupancy Settings: maximum child age and maximum infant age
Description: text field describing your property which will be displayed at the bottom of your booking engine
Make sure to click Save after editing the details.
How to correctly edit the Google Maps URL
The function of the Google Map URL is to define where the "Show on Map" links send the guest to if they click them from the booking engine or from the confirmation emails.
This URL does not control the map that is embedded on the booking engine. If the map embedded in your booking engine points at an incorrect location, please contact support so they can amend the coordinates for that map.
The correct URL to input in the Google Map URL is found by following these instructions:
Open Google Maps from your browser.
Search for your property using the search bar in the top left.
Once a red marker is pointing at your property, a menu will appear on the left.
Click the option " Share " in the menu on the left.
Click on " Copy Link " in the window that appears (make sure that you are in the tab "Send a link"). Please note : do not use the code or the link in "Embed map".
Paste this link in the Google Map URL field in the booking button extranet.
Add property images
To upload images to display your property on the booking engine:
Click the Setup tab
Click the Property tile
Click the Images tab
Once you’ve uploaded your banner image/s and property images, you can go to your booking engine to check that it is displaying correctly. You can add a maximum of 25 photos, and when you upload the maximum of 25, the "upload" button disappears.
Images should be in .jpg, .gif, or .png format.
Add a banner image
The banner image is the first thing your guests will see when they make a booking, as it appears across the top of your booking engine.
To add a banner image:
Click Choose File under ' Banner ' in the upper-left of the page.
Select the image you want to use from the popup file browser and click “ Ok” (or “Choose” if you 're using a Mac)
Click Upload
It is recommended to use images that are around 2560px width x 640px height. If your banner image has a very different ratio between width and height from the suggested ratio, it will be cropped automatically to fit in the available space.
Add property images
Your property images are displayed at the top of the About tab in your booking engine.
To add a property image:
Click Choose File under ' Photos ' in the upper-left of the page.
Select the image you want to use from the popup file browser and click “ Ok” (or “ Choose ” if you're using a Mac)
Click Upload
It is recommended to use images that are around 1500px width x 640px height. If your images have a very different ratio between width and height from the suggested ratio, they will be cropped automatically to fit in the available space.
Add property features
All the property details you set up here will be displayed on the booking engine.
You can easily set up a list of your property's features or amenities to display on your booking engine.
To add or edit your property's features:
Click the Setup tab
Click the Property tile
Click the Features tab
Select General and Parking features that apply to your property
Click Save
The features are displayed at the bottom of your customer facing booking engine.
Edit social media links
Social media links are controlled within their own section
Click the Setup tab
Click the Social Media Links tile
From this section you can add links to your accounts on various social media platforms. Make sure to save after you add the links.
After a guest completes a reservation, the social media links appear at the bottom right of the confirmation page as small icons with the logo of the platform that is being linked.
Please note : these links do not generate any kind of advanced integration with the platform.
