Disconnect Airbnb

Everything you need to know about disconnecting Airbnb from your channel manager.

Updated over a week ago

To temporarily stop selling on Airbnb, apply a temporary stop sell via the Inventory tab rather than disconnecting Airbnb.

Before disconnecting Airbnb

Before you disconnect Airbnb from the channel manager, it is important to note that once it is disconnected:

  • all listings' mappings and channel data will be permanently lost, and updates for Airbnb will no longer be sent from your channel manager;

  • you won’t be able to create new Airbnb listings from your channel manager;

  • you will no longer be able to view any reservations previously received from Airbnb on your channel manager.

If you have more than one channel manager account connected to the same Airbnb host account, revoking the token in one channel manager will revoke the token for all connected properties. If that’s the case, you will see the names of Other impacted properties in the pop-up window, before revoking the token.

Disconnect Airbnb

If you decide to disconnect Airbnb from your channel manager, you can still manage your listings' availability and rates on the Airbnb extranet. There are two ways to disconnect Airbnb by revoking the authorisation token, as explained below.

Note:

  • If you would rather temporarily stop selling from Airbnb, you should not disconnect the channel but rather apply a temporary stop sell.

  • Revoking the Authorisation token cannot be undone. If you want to connect Airbnb again to your channel manager after revoking the token, you will have to go through adding Airbnb as a channel and mapping your room rates again.

  • Revoking the Authorisation token does not delete your account with Airbnb.

From your channel manager, revoke the Airbnb token

  1. Go to My apps (at the top-right) > Channel manager.

  2. Click on Channels and then on Airbnb.

  3. Go to Channel settings.

  4. Scroll down until you see the Authorisation token. Click on the cogwheel symbol next to it.

  5. On the pop-up window, click Revoke.

From your Airbnb host account, remove SiteMinder access

  1. In your Airbnb extranet, click on your profile picture at the top right corner.

  2. Go to Account.

  3. Click on Privacy and Sharing.

  4. Scroll down to see your Connected App.

  5. Locate SiteMinder and click Remove access.

After disconnecting Airbnb

After disconnecting Airbnb from your channel manager, it is important to note:

  • If you no longer wish to advertise your listings on Airbnb, you need to contact Airbnb directly.

  • Deleting the channel from your channel manager will also delete any Airbnb reservations previously received.

  • If you wish to connect Airbnb to your channel manager in the future, you will have to map your listings again.
