Stay up-to-date on what’s new in our monthly round-up of new features and product improvements

Updated over a week ago

Channel Manager: Despegar availability calculation

  • Despegar’s availability calculation has been updated to prevent rooms from being oversold and undersold. The availability value calculation has been updated to the following formula:

    • The availability value from hotelier’s inventory grid

    • Minus the “base allotment” value provided by Despegar

    • Plus the “booked” value provided by Despegar

  • The inventory for all Despegar connections has been synched to ensure they’re up to date.

Channel Manager: Airbnb - Deprecate the listing regulations API

  • Previously, properties from select regions were able to update the listing regulations through The Channel Manager. This feature has now been deprecated so properties must update the regulations through the Airbnb extranet.

  • Because Airbnb has deprecated the API feature, the feature has now been removed from Channel Manager.

Channel Manager: HRS Store 3DS Data

  • HRS has recently released a specification that allows Channel Manager to receive and store 3DS data that is collected when Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is performed by HRS.

  • The 3DS data will be available to consuming applications such as SM PAY and 3rd Party PMS.

  • Having this data will reduce the risk of declined payments for properties processing merchant-initiated transactions.
