What are pending or expired reservations?

Reservations made via your direct booking engine may become Pending when there has been an issue during the payment process.

When this happens, the reservation will be Pending for a short period of time, then, it will move to an Expired status.

Activate or discard a pending or expired reservation

Our booking engine will not send a notification e-mail to the guest when a reservation is pending or expired. We recommend manually contacting guests to reconfirm their reservation before activating or discarding them.

Follow the steps below to activate or discard pending and expired direct booking reservations.

  1. Go to the Reservations page.

  2. Select a date range.

  3. On the more filters button, click on the Booking status drop-down menu and select Expired.

  4. Click on the expired reservation you want to view.

  5. Contact the guest and confirm that they want to keep the reservation. Depending on their response, click on either of the following two options:

    • Activate reservation — to make the Booking status become officially Booked.

    • Discard reservation — to remove the reservation permanently.
