This article covers key information to help you navigate through the distribution matrix.

Introduction to the distribution matrix

The Matrix tab gives you a real-time overview of your rate plan distribution across all of your properties, integrations*, and channels. Like the Health check page, the Matrix tab enables you to identify mapping statuses, as well as any issues with your integration* and channel mapping.

*The word ‘integration’ refers to property management systems (PMS), central reservations systems (CRS), and revenue management systems (RMS).

Check a rate plan’s distribution

Follow these steps to check a multi-property rate plan’s distribution:

  1. Go to Multi-Property > Distribution > Matrix.

  2. On the Select a rate plan drop-down menu, select the multi-property rate plan you want to check. You will then see a table showing the distribution of the room rates through channels and connectivities.

  3. We recommend using filters to narrow down your search by connectivities, clusters, or booking channels.

  4. From this table, you can:

    • use the Property, Room type and Rate columns filters by clicking on each column’s gear icon;

    • use the down arrows next to each property name or room type name to close the display of its room types/room rates, and;

    • tick the Include properties that are not linked checkbox to see properties that have no connection to the multi-property rate plan.

  5. Click on the Fullscreen button to maximise the table for a better view of all relevant columns.

💡 Use the connectivities and booking channels filters if you want to see the connection to a specific rate plan with a specific channel or integration. You can also filter by mapping status by clicking on these filters.

Status icons

In the Matrix tab, every room rate has an icon on each integration and channel column that represents the connection status.

  • Check icon

    — this indicates that the channel/integration is connected, the room rate is mapped, and its sync is working properly. Clicking on it will produce different results, depending on if:

    • it is a channel — it will redirect you to the property’s Channels tab on its channel manager;

    • it is an integration* — it will open the room rate mapping page of the selected property’s integration on multi-property.

  • Plus icon

    — this indicates that the property is connected to the channel/integration, but the rate is not mapped. Clicking on it will produce different results, depending on if:

    • it is a channel — it will redirect you to the property’s Channels tab on its channel manager;

    • it is an integration* — it will open the room rate mapping page of the selected property’s integration in Multi-Property.

  • Exclamation mark icon

    — this indicates that there is a disabled channel rate. You can click on it to open the Channels tab of the affected channel manager to find out what caused the disablement.

  • Minus icon

    — this indicates there is no connection available to complete the mapping because the connection has not been established. This might mean that you haven’t started working with that specific channel/integration.

💡 Note:

  • If you wish to add a new connectivity, you will need to contact our sales team.

  • If you wish to add a new channel, just navigate to each property’s channel manager and add the channel. But before adding the channel, make sure that:

    • you have a signed contract with the channel you want to connect to;

    • the channel has enabled the connection with your platform from their end;

    • you have noted your channel’s property code and the account details of your channel's extranet configuration; you might need these for the connection.
