Add Google Maps directions in your directory

Help guests find their way around by adding Google Maps links in your Info cards for your Guest Engagement digital directory.

Add a map for:

  • Your property and surrounds

  • Local pharmacies and medical centres

  • Supermarkets and convenience stores

  • Popular restaurants and cafes

  • Tourist attractions and landmarks

  • Public transport stations

  • Airport and transport links

Create a Google Maps link

To add directions to an Info card:

  1. Go to Google Maps and search for the destination.

  2. Click Directions and enter your property as the starting point.

  3. Select the appropriate transport mode (walking, driving, or public transport).

  4. Adjust the map zoom level and placement until you're happy with how it displays.

  5. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar.

Add the link to your Info card

To add the Google Maps link to an Info card:

  1. Go to Guest Engagement > Directory > Info cards.

  2. Create a new Info card or edit an existing one.

  3. In the Description field, enter text like "Get directions to pharmacy".

  4. Select the text you just wrote and click the chain link icon in the text editor toolbar.

  5. Paste the Google Maps URL you copied earlier into the Link URL field.

  6. Click the tick button to save.
