Room types represent the type of accommodation available to your guests and allow you to manage the availability for room rates in the channel manager.
To set up a room type:
Click on ROOMS & RATES
Click on the ROOM TYPES tab
Click New Room type in the upper right of the screen
Enter the following information:
Description: enter a short description for the new room type
Included Occupancy: the number of guests allowed for the set price
Max Occupancy: the maximum number of guests allowed in the Rooms under this room type
Max Adults: the maximum number of adults allowed in the Rooms under this Room type
Max Children: the maximum number of children allowed in the Rooms under this room type
Max Infants: the maximum number of infants allowed in the Rooms under this room type
Click Save
Your new room type will appear in the ROOM TYPES tab. Once the room type and rate plans are created you can setup room rates that represent the ways your room type can be sold.
Note: Creating a room type in the channel manager will not create room types or rates in your connected channels or property management system (PMS).
Once you have created a room type, you can start adding Room rates.
