💡 Important to know:

  • PayPal is NOT available for regions where SiteMinder Payments is available.

  • To integrate PayPal, go to My Apps > Direct booking > Setup > Property > Payment.

The benefits of integrating PayPal

PayPal is one of the most popular payment gateways worldwide, giving customers the choice to pay with PayPal, PayPal Credit, credit cards, debit cards, and other local payment options.


Integrating with PayPal will allow your property to accept online payments from customers through your Booking Engine.


There are three steps required to integrate PayPal with your Booking Engine:

  1. Register for a PayPal account

  2. Set up PayPal in your Booking Engine

  3. Enable deposits in your Booking Engine

Register for a PayPal account

Before setting up Paypal as your payment gateway, register for a PayPal Business account.

Set up PayPal in your Booking Engine

To set up Paypal, just follow these steps:

  1. Go My Apps > Direct booking > Setup > Property > Payment.

  2. Click on Edit to modify your payment gateway.

  3. When selecting your payment gateway, choose PayPal.

  4. Enter the required credentials as provided by PayPal.

  5. Click on Save.

Enable deposits in your Booking Engine

You will need to enable and set up deposits for each rate plan you offer. This will determine the amount the payment gateway will charge your guest at the time of booking.
