Important to know:
You must make sure you do not have any disabled room rates in Channel Manager to ensure all your available room rates are being offered at the correct price to your prospective guests, and so we can offer you the latest version of the Channel Manager and Direct Booking.
You must either enable or disconnect and delete any rates with status ‘Updates disabled'.
About Direct Booking rates with status ‘Updates disabled’
A Direct Booking rate with the status ‘Updates disabled' means that availability, rates and inventory are not being sent from Channel Manager to Direct Booking and are not being offered to your prospective guests.
A rate may have the status ‘Updates disabled' when the Channel Manager room rate has been mapped to Direct Booking, however, due to a specific restriction (such as a minimum room rate) set in Direct Booking, updates are unable to be received.
For example, if you have set a ‘minimum room rate’ restriction in Direct Booking that is greater than the rate set in Channel Manager, then updates will be unable to be received by Direct Booking, and the room rate will become disabled.
It is important to check that you do not have any disabled rates in Channel Manager:
To ensure that we can offer you the latest version of the Channel Manager and Direct Booking.
To ensure all your available room rates are being offered at the correct price to your prospective guests via Direct Booking.
Please follow the steps below to either enable or disconnect and delete any rates with status ‘Updates disabled’.
Enable or disconnect and delete rates marked ‘Updates disabled’
Review disabled Direct Booking rates
Go to Channel Manager > Channels > Direct Booking.
Check if you have any Direct Booking rates with status ‘Updates disabled’.
To see why the rate is disabled, click on the Direct Booking rate’s status ‘Updates disabled'. You will see a red error message stating the reason why updates cannot be sent.
Decide whether you want to adjust your settings so you can enable the rate; otherwise if it is no longer required, you must disconnect and delete it.
Enable disabled Direct Booking rates
Before you can enable Direct Booking rates, you must check there are no conflicting settings (such as a minimum rate) to ensure updates can be sent from Channel Manager.
Go to Channel Manager > Channels > Direct Booking.
Click on the Direct Booking rate ’s status ‘Updates disabled’.
Under Continue updating channel, select Yes.
Disconnect and delete disabled Direct Booking rates
Go to Channel Manager > Channels > Direct Booking.
On the Direct Booking rate, click Disconnect from channel.
Next, go to Direct Booking > Setup > Room & Rates.
Find the room rate that is no longer required, then click the Delete/Suspend button at the bottom of the page.
Ensure all the rates that you wish to offer via Direct Booking are able to receive updates from Channel Manager (for example, the minimum rate restrictions that is set in Direct Booking mustn’t be higher that the setting in Channel Manager, otherwise updates will be unable to be sent).
