Fix mapping when a Channel Manager Room Rate is mapped to more than one Direct Booking rate

Important to know:

  • Channel Manager no longer supports multi-mapping functionality for Direct Booking.

  • You must make sure each room rate in Channel Manager is only mapped to one room rate in your Direct Booking.

  • If you have a room rate in Channel Manager mapped to multiple Direct Booking rates, to ensure we can offer you the latest version of the Channel Manager and Direct Booking, you will need to adjust the setup of your room rates by following the steps in this article.

You have a room rate in Channel Manager mapped to multiple room rates in Direct Booking.

This may be because you mapped a singular room rate in Channel Manager to multiple room rates in Direct Booking (for example, they were mapped with different restrictions such as a length-of-stay restriction).

Channel Manager no longer supports multi-mapping functionality for Direct Booking, so to make sure we can offer you the latest version of the Channel Manager and Direct Booking, please follow the steps below to adjust the setup of your room rates.

You must make sure each room rate in the Channel Manager is only mapped to one room rate in Direct Booking.

Review your Direct Booking rates

To check which room rates in Channel Manager are mapped to more than one room rate in Direct Booking, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Channel Manager > Channels > Active channels > Direct Booking.

  2. Go to the Rooms & Rates tab.

  3. Check to see which Channel Manager Room Rates are mapped to more than one Direct Booking rate.

A Channel Manager Room Rate must only be mapped to one Direct Booking rate. If you have a Channel Manager Room Rate mapped to multiple Direct Booking rates, please follow the steps below to correct this.

Create and map a new Direct booking rate

Once you confirm which Channel Manager room rate(s) are mapped to multiple room rates in Direct Booking, follow these steps to adjust their mapping.

Disconnect additional direct booking rates by clicking on the Direct Booking rate > Disconnect from channel.

To unmap the Direct Booking rate that is mapped more than once, click on the Direct Booking rate > Disconnect from channel.

Next, if you would like to continue to update the rate(s) that you have just disconnected, create a new room rate in the channel manager for each direct booking rate:

  1. Go to Channel Manager > Rooms and Rates.

  2. Click on the Rate Plans tab.

  3. Create a new room rate for each unique Direct booking rate.

  4. Click Assign Room type.

  5. Go to Channel Manager > Channels > Active channels > Direct Booking and map the new room rate to the unique Direct booking rate.

Optional:

  • Map the new room rate to your PMS, if required.

  • If you would like to replicate availability and rate values from another channel rate to any newly created channel rates, this can be achieved with the ‘Copy tool’. To use the copy tool:

    1. Go to Rooms & Rates > Rate Plans.

    2. Find the Room rate > click on the Channel rate and select ‘Copy tool’.
