Review and adjust your rate plan and room rate configuration

Important to know:

  • You must make sure that your room rates in Direct Booking are aligned to your rate plans in Channel Manager.

  • A rate plan in Channel Manager can only be linked to a single room rate in Direct Booking and vice versa; there must be a one-to-one relationship.

  • To ensure we can offer you the latest version of the Channel Manager and Direct Booking, please review and adjust your rate plan configuration by following the steps in this article.

You must make sure that your room rates in Direct Booking are aligned to your rate plans in Channel Manager. A rate plan in Channel Manager can only be linked to a single room rate in Direct Booking and vice versa; there must be a one-to-one relationship.

For example:

  • The ‘Standard’ rate plan in Channel Manager must match the ‘Standard’ room rate in Direct Booking. The ‘Standard’ rate plan should not be mapped to a mismatched room rate such as an ‘Early bird’ room rate.

  • You cannot link a ‘summer special 10%’ room rate and a ‘winter special 10%’ room rate to the same ‘special 10%’ Channel Manager rate plan. Each room rate must be linked to a unique rate plan.

Review and adjust your rate plans and linked room rates

In Direct Booking, follow these steps to review and adjust your rate plan and room rate configuration to ensure Direct Booking is aligned with Channel Manager.

  1. In Direct Booking , select Setup > Rooms & rates > Rate plans.

  2. Review your linked room rates and ensure they are aligned with your Rate plans in Channel Manager.

  3. If a rate plan does not match the room rate, click on the linked room rate.

  4. In the Rate Plan dropdown, select the correct rate plan that matches Channel Manager.

  5. Click Save.

Before you complete steps 4-5, you might need to create a new rate plan or room rate.

Create a new rate plan

If you have linked more than one room rate to the one rate plan, you may need to create a new rate plan to ensure a one-to-one relationship. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Direct Booking > Rate Plans.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Fill in the rate plan details then click Save.

  4. Then, click on the linked room rate that was not aligned, and select the new Rate Plan in the dropdown.

Create a new room rate

If your rate plans don’t align to your linked room rates, you may need to create a new room rate to ensure a one-to-one relationship. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Direct Booking > Rate plans.

  2. Click Add Room Rate.

  3. Select the corresponding Rate Plan.

  4. Then, create the new rate plan and room rate in Channel Manager and map it to the newly created corresponding rate in Direct Booking.
