Channel Manager - Auto-replenishment of Inventory
Updated over a year ago

Auto-replenishment is an opt-in feature that you can choose to enable through the Hotel settings page.

User-added image

For Customers working with the channel manager only, you can choose whether availability will be incremented only when availability is currently 1 or greater, or whether it will also be incremented if it is 0 or negative.

If a room stay date is removed for a reservation, either through a reservation cancellation or a reservation modification, availability will automatically be incremented by 1 for that room type date (if pooled availability) or room rate date (if not).

Availability will be incremented in the case of:

  • Cancellations

  • Modifications where either a room stay is removed, or where dates that were previously booked are no longer booked.

Availability will only ever be replenished if the cancellation or modification is for a reservation which already exists in the Channel Manager. This ensures availability will only be automatically replenished if it was decremented in the first place.

The option to only replenish availability when it is 1 or greater is to reduce the chance of over- bookings where hotels oversell rooms or allow negative inventory.

Please note: This functionality is independent of any PMS or channels own auto-replenishment. If you have a PMS that already has auto-replenishment functionality, we do not recommend that this feature is turned on.
